This is a compilation of all of the projects produced or being produced by the Nerd Herd Network. This page serves as a general overview of each of those projects.
Games
Frank Podraza is the gaming lead here. He has built 2 mobile games and is beginning work on his first PC game. These games are either under development or released.
Castle Wars
Based on the Halo: Reach game of the same name, Castle Wars is a game where two teams fight for control over the other’s castle. This project is just starting development.
Launch My Dog
Launch My Dog is the hot-dog flinging physics-based puzzle game where you launch a hot dog into a bun, and things get in the way. Collect toppings, avoid ketchup, experience anti-gravity, and go through portals to get your hot dog into its hot dog bun.
Launch My Dog officially started development in early 2020, and was released July 10th, 2021. It is a physics-based game built in Unity.
Poke My Balls
Poke My Balls is a fun, simple, and addicting game, for the time when you have a couple of minutes to take your mind off of life. If you can tap your screen you can play Poke My Balls! Colored balls drop from the top of the screen, and tap all of the right color. Black balls, Blue balls, Green balls, and Red balls too, They all drop into view. If you prefer blue, then tap the blue. Compete with your friends for the highest score. More balls drop the longer you play.
Physical Programming
Physical Programming is what we are using as a catch-all term for projects that are more than just software. These projects have some physical components too.
CSGO Prop
The CSGO Prop is a Raspberry Pi-based box that acts as a prop C4 from the game CSGO. Built entirely in Python using the Pygame library, the CSGO Prop allows the user to play CSGO in real life with Nerf Blasters. It has multiple game modes. There is a CSGO game mode, of course, but also King of the Hill from Halo, or Call of Duty, as well as Secure Area from Rainbow 6 Siege.
